₹10,000 as a first earnings milestone is realistic for a part-time Activity Partner in the first 4-8 weeks after KYC approval. Here is what the maths actually looks like, broken down by hours worked, bookings taken, and the three mistakes that stretch the timeline from 4 weeks to 12.
The maths
₹10,000 at an average hourly rate of ₹800 is 12.5 billable hours. At 1.5 hours per average meet, that is 8-9 meets. At 2 meets per week — a sustainable weekend-plus-one-weekday cadence — that is 4-5 weeks. The platform commission is 15% on scheduled bookings and 10% on instant, which the ₹800 average already assumes; your bank credit per hour is roughly ₹680-720.
Week 1 — Setup
Clear KYC (PAN + Aadhaar via DigiLocker + live selfie + bank verification). Build the profile: a clear bio naming the specific activity and your city neighbourhood, 3-5 service listings with hourly rates, a 60-second introduction video that passes admin review. Set your availability window — the sweet spot for first-time partners is Saturday 10 AM-6 PM, Sunday 10 AM-6 PM, and one weekday evening 6-9 PM. Narrower windows look overbooked and attract scheduled requests more reliably than open all-day availability.
Week 2 — First booking
Your first booking is harder than your fifth because you have no rating. Partners typically land the first by pricing 15-20% below the city average for the same activity, then raising rates once two 5-star ratings are banked. Example: if the Bangalore average for a Coffee & conversation booking is ₹700/hr, launch at ₹580 for the first two slots.
Accept instant bookings for the first two weeks even if you prefer scheduled. Instant is +25% on the base rate and signals availability to the algorithm, which cycles live partners up the Browse screen.
Weeks 3-5 — Momentum
Three ratings in makes a visible difference. The verified badge + 3 ratings + at least a dozen completed hours is the point where the Browse-page position stabilises. From week 3 onward most partners can hold rates at or just above city average without hurting booking rate.
The three mistakes new partners make
1. Pricing above city average on day one
A new partner with zero ratings pricing at ₹1,500/hr gets no bookings. Start below average, bank ratings, then raise. The in-app Earnings screen shows your city's median hourly rate for each activity — use it as the anchor.
2. Open availability all week
A partner who shows available 9 AM to 11 PM every day looks either desperate or fake. Narrow windows (specific weekend blocks) convert better and let you build a predictable schedule.
3. Thin intro video
The intro video is the single highest-leverage element of the profile. Partners who film a flat generic 20-second "hi I'm X" get fewer bookings than partners who use the full 60 seconds to describe one specific route they'll take you on. Specificity beats polish.
The payout flow
Money for each meet releases to your in-app earnings balance 2 hours after both parties mark the meet complete. The weekly payout runs every Monday — your Sunday-night balance lands in your verified bank account by Tuesday evening. UPI payouts are same-day during the payout window.
Common questions
Can I do this alongside a day job?
Yes — most part-time partners do. The weekend-plus-evening schedule above is designed for exactly that. TDS applies if annual earnings cross ₹20,000 across the FY — the platform withholds and gives you a Form 16A.
What if I get a 1-star rating?
A single 1-star is fine; the account stays active. Two in a short window trigger a profile review. Our longer piece on becoming a 5-star Activity Partner profile covers how to recover and what the common 1-star triggers are.
